The client: ARP Associates, ARP Building Services and ARP Geotechnical Ltd are a Civil, Structural, Building Services and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy, based in Leeds, but covering the whole of the country. They provide services in civil, building services, structural and geotechnical engineering and have a long-established reputation that has been built up over their 25 years in the industry.
The brief: ARP provided a really challenging brief – to rebrand without losing the essence of the existing brand. Their company is embarking on expansion and moving into a new city in the North West and they wanted to carry their reputation, which is so closely aligned to their existing identity, with them. This was a ‘new from old’ project with no room for doubt that it’s the same company.
The brief was for a more professional, modern, cutting edge logo design that could be applied to lots of different mediums, from the website to their corporate stationery, vehicle branding to hard hats on site. In order to move the brand elements forward, I introduced space and curves whilst retaining the familiar colours and the triangular element of their initial logo. The clean lines reflect the professionalism and accuracy of the business and the new logo acts as a central branding element to work from. I provided example mock ups of logo application and began to introduce new ideas on potential use of colour and texture in the branding – now we have the central element decided, there’s room to grow the branding and continue the work.
